Manama, Bahrain

I tried to roam around the city of Manama and I ended up going to City Center Mall. Damn! getting a taxi here in Manama is so hard. I've tried waving at them but it didn't work. It seems that they don't care. :( Another thing TAXI fare is so expensive and they don't seem to have a fixed meter. I paid 2BD going to the mall and then going home is 3BD. Hopefully I'll get used to this sooner.

I love Sunshine!

Wild Wadi... I had free access to this water park since it is a sister establishment of the previous hotel I'm working for. I spent most of my off days sun bathing and eating burgers there. I loved all of their rides and staying there is really relaxing. I usually stay at Breakers Bay which is a large wave pool. There's also this popular slide that I didn't try because I chickened out. It's the tallest and fastest water slide in Wild Wadi called "Jumeirah Scairah". The name describes the experience pretty well as per my colleagues who've tried it. I didn't have the guts to try it but I totally enjoyed the artificial surfing thing they have. I did it several times, even if I have to wait in a very long line. It would take at least 20mins. waiting time to get my turn. I even hurt my shoulders when I slipped in the surf board and the water hit me hard, causing me to slightly rotate and slap my shoulders in the wall. It's no big deal though it ached for more than 2weeks since I really had fun.

Aquaventure Atlantis... I took a lot of pictures with my friends when we went to Atlantis Palm Jumeirah. It is beautiful and we stayed at Aquaventure theme park. I like it although I enjoy Wild Wadi better. Their slides are still rough since it just opened few months back when we went there. Since I didn't tried Jumeirah Scairah I decided to try Aquaventure's Leap of Faith. It was actually not as scary as I imagined. It's a long slide but it's too fast. I didn't even notice that I'm already down. While going down the slide you will enter a tube passageway wherein you can see sharks on the other side of the glass. I hardly enjoyed the view since all I'm thinking is I'm going down way too fast.

Bonsai Outing

BONSAI... For us to get familiarize with our sister hotels (Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah, Emirates Towers, Bab al Shams), other Dubai Hotels and around Dubai itself our Dept. usually arrange show arounds for Guest Services Team. It is handled by a group in our dept. called "BONSAI TEAM". It's so much fun but tiring at the same time because of too much walking.
Desert Safari... this is the first Bonsai Outing I've been able to join and it was very memorable and exciting. I'm in the front seat and I totally enjoyed how the car circles around the sand dunes. All of my colleagues at the back seat screamed loudly as if there's no tomorrow. The driver stayed calm and he's very good. After the ride we stopped to see some camels. It was also the first time I ever rode a camel and it was a good experience. It's actually like a horse. I just got shocked when it started to stand up while I was on its back .

Al Nasr Leisure Land... Play time! Bowling and Ice Skating.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel (JBH)... For sure kids would love to stay in this hotel since it is very family oriented. It also has several cozy and trendy restaurants.

Madinat Jumeirah Hotel (MJ)... unfortunately I forgot my CAM so I don't have any picture during our show around at this massive hotel. All I can remember is I cannot walk properly the next day. It took us almost 2hours of walking in high heels and work uniform to get around the whole vicinity. It was lovely and there are a lot of restaurants in the hotel even a Souq called "Madinat Souq".
Emirates Tower Hotel(ETH)... is a business hotel. The hotel's lift is awesome and the view is amazing.

Bab Al Shams Hotel (BAB)... good for honeymooners since it is a Desert Resort and it's very secluded and quiet. It provides the atmosphere of privacy for the guests.

Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi... I can say that it is the most popular hotel in Abu Dhabi. It's also massive and walking all day is tiring. I love all of the expensive and beautiful chandeliers in the hotel. The staff working there are very hospitable they even gave us a paper bag full of Emirates Palace souvenirs before going home.
